Choose Wave when you want an invoicing-and-accounting home base. Plainly, and without a wink:

• You want free invoicing and free double-entry accounting in one account. That bundle is genuinely unmatched at $0. If bookkeeping matters to you, Wave is likely the better fit for a business with more complex needs.
• You take cards and want built-in processing. The one-click pay link plus automatic payment reminders gets money moving faster than chasing checks by hand. That loop is the product, and a document-only tool cannot match it.
• You want one dashboard for money in and money out. Bank connections, receipts, and reports live next to your invoices. That is accounting software, and it is good at it.

If any of that is you, stay with Wave. Seriously. We would rather lose you honestly than keep you with spin.

When MonkeeTools wins

Choose MonkeeTools when you primarily need to create, manage, and send professional invoices without an account or a hosted customer database.

• Your clients pay by bank transfer, Zelle, check, or cash. Wave's payment loop does nothing for you then, and you still had to create a Wave account to send the invoice. Print your bank details right on the invoice, or attach your own Stripe payment link and take cards on your own terms.
• You want zero servers holding your client data. Wave stores your business records on its servers and shares data across its corporate family for marketing unless you opt out by email. With MonkeeTools, everything stays on your device. That is not a policy, it is the architecture.
• You refuse any account or signup at all. There is no account to verify, freeze, or close, because there is no account.
